SHG OSTEO PRACTITIONERS
Dave completed his studies at Victoria University in 2003. After initially working on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, Dave and his wife moved back to Beaumaris to establish Seaview Osteopathic Clinic. After 4 years of increasing growth, Dave and Sara expanded the business to include Physio, Podiatry, Massage, Exercise Physiology and Pilates. In doing so they renamed the clinic, Seaview Health Group.
Dave and Sara now have 4 children and live just a couple of blocks from ‘the Seaview Shops’. So at the end of the day you are likely to see their kids bikes and scooters parked out the front of the clinic, as they come down for a visit!
Dave’s treatments are structurally orientated with a strong influence placed on exercise prescription and rehabilitation to gain maximum results. Coming from a sporting background Dave has a keen interest in football, golf and generally keeping fit. He has assisted many amateur and professional athletes to perform at their best and recover from many injuries along the way. Dave treats each patient individually, he is able to combine a hands-on approach to treatment with a specified rehabilitation program, to restore optimum health and wellbeing

Melissa graduated from Victoria University with an Undergraduate degree and Masters in Osteopathy in 2013. It was Melissa’s love of sport that initially drew her to a career in osteopathy, however her passion for the profession blossomed shortly after with the experience in providing holistic care to help different people every day.
Melissa was born and raised in Mentone and being a bayside local she enjoys been able to help those people in the town she adores/bayside bubble.

Melissa enjoys treating patients of all ages, but in particular helping patients in the treatment of headaches, neck and lower back pain. If you don’t see Melissa walking around Seaview shops with her almond latte from Watkin’s Bay, you will likely find her down at the beach planning her next overseas adventure, or at the MCG watching her beloved Collingwood FC play (but don’t hold that against her!). Melissa is approachable, caring and really strives to get every patient to the best position they can be.

Jason was drawn to Osteopathy at a young age having played local Australian Rules Football in the Eastern football league. He had his fair share of injuries and his trainer at the time was an Osteopath, hence his pathway to Osteopathy. Having recently graduated from Victoria University with a Masters degree in Osteopathy, his hope is to pass on his knowledge in the field to others that were once in his position.
He is an avid sports fanatic and loves AFL, soccer, NBA and mostly golf. Jason started playing golf socially at a young age at his home away from home in Torquay, before turning to local footy for Vermont Football club. Jason enjoyed a successful period playing football and unfortunately hung up the boots recently to return to golf and is currently a member at Settler’s Run Golf and Country Club in Botanic Ridge.
Jason’s love of golf has encouraged him in his profession and continued professional development in the field of golf biomechanics and his desire to pass on his knowledge to his patients and hopefully help at reducing those handicap figures! Jason also has a passion for acute injury management, neck and lower back pain, rehab and ergonomics assisting patients with sedentary jobs. Jason is also qualified to use dry needling and cupping to assist with treatment. Jason is a firm believer of a structural approach to Osteopathy and tailors his treatments to suit the individual.
In his spare time clearly, you will find Jason on the golf course trying to perfect his game. Besides this he loves the North Melbourne Football Club and enjoys getting to as many games as he can. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife going on long drives taking in the best sightseeing spots in Victoria as well as fishing around the Port Phillip Bay area. Jason thinks he is quite funny, always has a smile on his face and strives to leave a lasting impression on his patients while providing the care they need.
Sarah has always had an interest in sport, whether it be playing high-level netball for Dingley or watching her beloved Tigers at the ‘G’ every week. Over the years of playing netball Sarah saw many health professionals for various injuries. Having this early exposure to health care practitioners stemmed her interest in the musculoskeletal system, and the importance of its care and management
During her time studying Osteopathy she furthered her learning by completing a Sports Medicine Australia, and First Aid course which led to her to become a sports trainer for Cheltenham Football Club. Here she developed her skills in the management and treatment of acute sporting injuries.
Since graduating from Victoria University with a Masters qualification she has also completed further studies in radial shockwave therapy, dry needling, rock-taping, and women’s health and pregnancy, which she incorporates into her treatments.
When Sarah isn’t at work you will find her spending time with her friends and family, watching Richmond at the ‘G’ (hopefully winning!), or feeding her ever-growing travel bug by planning her next holiday
