Assessment
We will ask you lots of questions about the hip or knee, we will also ask about the rest of your body, any past injuries or surgeries, about what you do each day, your exercise routine and your health in general.
We will assess the hip or knee in a range of positions and use any associated special tests that will help provide an accurate diagnosis.
We will always look at the rest of your body as well, to see if there are any areas that are contributing to your hip or knee complaint. Often these will include areas such as the foot and ankle or the low back and pelvis.
Treatment may include:
Articulation and mobilisation of the joint.
Muscle release or soft tissue massage to the associated musculature of the hip and knee.
Muscle releases or soft tissue massage to any other part of the body that is contributing to the problem
Use of our Shockwave or Ultrasound machine for involved muscles or tendons.
Individualised exercise program including stretches and strength training
Dry needling
