Dave has worked with triathletes competing in the Hawaiian ironman, footballers, rugby league players, international hockey players and golfers. He uses this extensive athletic and medical experience to provide his patients with the best chance to reach their goals and to be successful in their chosen field. As much as Dave likes to see fit and healthy sportspeople back onto the field as soon as possible, he also enjoys treating the diverse range of conditions that present to him from people of all ages.
Sara utilises her skills in hands on techniques as well as postural, exercise & lifestyle advice to assist in both injury management and prevention. Sara is trained in all areas of Osteopathy, although she has a special interest in women's health, including pre/post natal care and paediatrics. Her skills in this area were further developed by completing intensive post-graduate courses in paediatrics and obstetrics. Sara also has a particular interest in treating migraines, neck related headaches, and assisting patients post-surgery with pain management and rehabilitation.
Since graduating from Victoria University Max has worked in both a clinical setting, as well as lending a helping hand at several sporting clubs, including the South Melbourne Football Club. This mix between on-field treatment and clinical practice, has allowed Max to hone his treatment and management of acute conditions, as well as tailoring individual rehabilitation strategies for acute and chronic complaints.
Cathryn is a qualified Osteopath and Pilates instructor who loves to learn! She also loves to impart what she learns on to her patients to help them understand how their bodies work best to achieve anything their day throws at them. Working in a number of private practice based Osteopathic clinics and Pilates studios over the past decade Cathryn enjoys the challenge of creating programs and treatment plans for all ages and abilities whether it be improving balance and keeping people moving in their later years or assisting elite athletes to improve strength and performance. Cathryn also works in the corporate sector doing ergonomic work and the recreation industry and has a keen interest in improving everyday peoples activity levels through the use of exercise rehabilitation. Cathryn has a firm belief that all exercise plans should be tailored to the individual; they should encourage patient self-management and most importantly that they should be fun!
Kelly is a clinical Pilates instructor and allied health assistant, with a background in personal training and exercise therapy. She began her training in 2007, working alongside a Paralympic physiotherapist, and eventually completed a Certificate III & IV in Fitness and Personal Training, and a Diploma of Professional Clinical Pilates Instruction. She has also completed training in chronic pain management and life coaching. With her extensive background in fitness and high impact sports, Kelly is well versed in effectively promoting core stability and postural correction. She is passionate about increasing the mobility, mechanical function and wellbeing of her clients, and uses Pilates to help them achieve and sustain these goals.
Melissa’s love of sport is what drew her to the career of Osteopathy. She has gained significant experience in the treatment, rehabilitation and management of sporting injuries working as the head trainer of the Cheltenham Football Club. In addition Melissa has developed an interest in the assessment and treatment of repetitive strain injuries (RSI), acute and sudden onset neck pain and headaches. Melissa is also qualified to use dry needling as part of her treatment.
In her Masters Melissa investigated the benefits and affects on the body of barefoot and minimalistic shoe running whilst working with participants from the Western Bulldogs Football Club.
Julia is passionate about the hands- on, holistic approach Osteopathy provides. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, although she has developed a particular interest in women’s health and paediatrics, completing her masters in the assessment of infants. She has undertaken post-graduate courses in paediatrics and trigger point dry needling. Julia also has a keen interest in treating postural related complaints and headaches. Overall, she is dedicated in helping patients to achieve their optimal health.
Peter is a highly skilled massage therapist who has been working in the field for the past ten years. He is qualified in both Remedial and Shiatsu Massage, which includes the use of Trigger Point and Acupressure Therapy. During his years of experience, he has treated a range of clients from all walks of life, from the young and elderly to sports people, including runners, cyclists, triathletes and swimmers, as well as professional dancers. He has a belief that we can all benefit from regular massage, whether that be for injury recovery management, alleviation of muscular aches and tension, or for those that simply enjoy the feeling of a relaxation or deep tissue massage.
As a highly accredited Exercise Physiologist Travis specialises in providing evidence based exercise programs for treatment, prevention and management of acute and chronic injuries and medical conditions. Travis draws on his expertise in exercise prescription and management of chronic and complex conditions to improve health and performance. His previous experience as a personal trainer has provided him with the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients who have different fitness abilities and long term goals. His interests include identifying movement dysfunction, health coaching and behavioural modification – as he believes education is the key to optimal success.
With expertise underpinned by the latest developments in Podiatry research and techniques, Jarrad has a passion for exposing athletes to their untapped potential by improving their foot and gait mechanics. In addition to his private practice work, Jarrad has provided high-risk diabetics with appropriate wound care and diabetic foot health education at the Monash Medical Centre. As a VFL athlete, Jarrad is well versed in addressing injury management and improving performance through correct structural alignment. Jarrad’s detailed assessment and his comprehensive understanding of biomechanical dysfunctions, makes him a favourite with patients of all ages.
Meagan is a Physiotherapist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of lower limb injuries, with particular interest in hip and groin pain. Meagan also has a specialist interest in tailoring specific exercise programs for prevention and rehabilitation of injuries. These programs are specific and are designed to enhance strength and maximize peak physical condition. In treating plenty of athletes from Tennis schools to national level swimmers and all levels of ability with running, she has specialist knowledge in the management of lower limb Tendonopathies, which allows her to apply these principles to people of any age.
Claire has been involved in teaching dance and fitness for over 20 years. During her career she has taught almost everything in fitness from dance to circuits. In recent years she has specialised in aquatic training and Pilates instruction. Claire started her Pilates career in the UK and on arrival in Australia continued her training firstly with Positive Action Pilates then she trained with Polestar Pilates gaining her Diploma in Pilates and more recently has trained with Fletcher Pilates. Claire believes that you never stop learning and attends conferences and workshops on a regular basis as well as attending her own regular practise a trainer.
